The benefit of having a Wedding Day Dressing Service booked for your big day
With my line of work I get asked all the time how to steam the gown for the wedding day.
Most of the time your gown will be steamed and pressed before you collect it from your seamstress after your alterations have been completed.
However, as I say to all my brides, the bridal dress bags are never long enough for the trains and with traveling home with the gown or traveling to the venue your gown will 100% need to be steamed again.
Steaming the gown can be a worry for brides as bridal fabrics can be so delicate and of course you don't want anything to happen to it so close to the big day.
With this in mind why not let an expert look after this time consuming job for you. I have steamed, pressed, sewn and fixed countless wedding gowns in my bridal career, I would be delighted to help take this worry off your shoulders.
Option 1 would be me popping in the morning of the wedding to your home or venue to steam your gown and veil and if required your bridal party outfits too. I would be out of your hair before you know it.
If you would like to go one step further you could book Option 2 where I steam your gown the morning of your wedding day and then help you into it, finding the perfect placement and closing buttons/lace ups/zips. Dress placement can make a huge difference to the fit of your gown and the end result for your photographs.
Sometimes dress buttons can be tricky, lace up backs have been known to cause some shaky hands over the years, even zips can get a little stuck from time to time.

I have a beautiful fitting room where you can try on your gown and we can go through any questions you might have. We will also go through timelines for the day depending on which service you have booked.
